Resumo: Essa pesquisa foi realizada com o objetivo de avaliar os sistemas de criação de suínos na agricultura familiar, como também analisar o manejo alimentar destinados a esses animais produzidos na microrregião do Curimataú paraibano. Foram visitados 130 criadores em quatro municípios dessa microrregião sendo eles: Arara, Cacimba de Dentro, Dona Inês, e Solânea. Os criadores foram visitados sem aviso prévio. O diagnóstico foi obtido por meio de aplicação de um questionário semi-estruturado. Ao analisar os dados constatou-se que as instalações onde esses animais são criados na maioria das vezes são de madeira com o piso de chão batido onde pode trazer vários problemas aos animais. Porém a alimentação destinada a eles são restos de refeições domésticas. Podendo chegar a subnutrir os animais.

System of creation and alimentary handling destined to swines in the Microregion of Curimataú Paraibano

abstract: This research was carried through with the objective to evaluate the systems of swine creation in familiar agriculture, as well as to analyze the alimentary handling destined to these animals produced in the microregion of the paraibano Curimataú. They had been visited 130 creators in four cities of this microregion being; Arara, Cacimba de Dentro, Dona Ines, and Solânea. These creators had been visited without advance warning. The diagnosis was gotten by means of application of a half-structuralized questionnaire. When analyzing the data evidenced that the installations where these animals are created most of the time are wooden with the beaten soil floor where it can bring some problems to the animals. However the destined feeding they are remaining portions of domestic meals. Being able to arrive to subnutrir the animals.
