Resumo: A educação como prática da liberdade, é um ato de conhecimento, uma aproximação crítica da realidade e para que realmente aconteça, a aprendizagem precisa ser significativa e envolver o aprendiz. Isto exige uma relação com o universo de cada estudante, com seus conhecimentos, experiências e vivências anteriores. É importante que lhe seja permitido formular problemas, questões, que possibilitem o confronto com a realidade prática de problemas de diferentes naturezas. O presente projeto objetivou a partir da problematização do ensino, utilizando situações reais e concretas, abordar o tema “Eficiência Reprodutiva em Suínos”, por meio de metodologia participativa e direta dos acadêmicos em relação à realidade prática do campo. Os trabalhos foram realizados junto aos acadêmicos da disciplina de Reprodução Animal, do Curso de Graduação em Zootecnia da Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná, Campus de Marechal Cândido Rondon, durante o ano 2006. A prática docente, enquanto construtora do fenômeno educativo, está inserida no contexto das relações sociais e é pertencente à esfera da sociedade como um todo. A utilização da problematização do ensino por meio da integração com a comunidade local, desafiando a realidade de fora da universidade, foi capaz de gerar maior interesse e motivação entre os estudantes envolvidos, contribuiu de maneira significativa para formação não apenas de um técnico, mas de um indivíduo consciente e comprometido com os problemas e anseios da sociedade.

The teacher as educator and the problematization of education in the zootecnia

Abstract: The education as practical of the freedom is a critical approach of the reality and so that it really happens the necessary learning to be significant and to involve the apprentice. This demands a relation with the universe of each student with its knowledge previous experiences. It is important that it is allowed to it to formulate problems questions that make possible the confrontation with the practical reality of problems of different natures. The present project objectified from the problematization of education using real situations to approach the subject Reproductive Efficiency in pig by means of participative and direct methodology of the academics in relation to the practical reality. The works had been carried through next to the academics of discipline of Animal Reproduction of the Course of Graduation in Zootecnia of the State University of the West of the Paraná Campus of Marechal Cândido Rondon during year 2006. The practical teacher while constructor of the educative is inserted in the context of the social relations and is pertaining to the sphere of the society as a whole. The use of the problematization of education by means of the integration with the community defying the reality of is of the university was capable to generate bigger interest and motivation between the involved students contributed not only in significant way for formation of one technician but of an individual conscientious and compromised with the problems and yearnings of the society.
