Resumo: O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido no município de Itaguaí, Baixada fluminense do estado do Rio de Janeiro para avaliar a % volume caldo em relação ao peso total, % caldo em relação ao peso do colmo e º Brix médio do caldo de nove cultivares de cana: precoces (IAC 86 2480, IAC 86 2210, SP 80 1842), médias (RB 72 454, IAC 93 6006, RB 75 8540) e tardias (RB 85 5113, SP 81 3250, IAC 87 3396). O trabalho foi realizado em um delineamento de blocos ao acaso com 3 repetições, implantado em 25/11/2007. Foi realizado um corte aos 340 dias de idade. A cultivar SP 80 1842 foi a que apresentou maior percentagem de caldo em relação ao peso do perfilho. Para a variável peso do caldo em relação ao peso do colmo as cultivares SP 80 1842 e IAC 93 6006 foram as que apresentaram melhor percentual. Quando analisado o peso do bagaço pelo peso do colmo não houve diferença estatística entre as cultivares estudadas. Já quando foi avaliado o ºBrix do caldo a cultivar RB 72 454 foi a que obteve o melhor resultado.

Evaluation of broth volume related to tiller weight and culm weight in different cultivars of sugar cane

abstract: The present work was carried out at Itaguaí county, Rio de Janeiro coastal plain, to evaluate % broth in related to the all weight, % volume broth in relation to the weight of culm and average º Brix of nine cultivars of sugar cane: early flowering (IAC 86 2480, IAC 86 2210, SP 80 1842), medium flowering (RB 72 454, IAC 93 6006, RB 75 8540) late flowering (RB 85 5113, SP 81 3250, IAC 87 3396). The experiment was made under a Ramdomized Blocks Design with tree replications and was planted in november the 25th (11/25/09). The cut was made after 340 days of growth. The cultivar SP 80 1842 was the one that presented greater broth percentage in relation to the weight tiller. The cultivars SP 80 1842 and IAC 93 6006 showed the greatest broth percentage result to tiller weight in related to the all weight. For the paramenter weight of the bagasse related in culm weight there was not statistically difference between the cultivars studied. As for the broth ºBrix the best result was showed at the cultivar RB 72 454.
