Resumo: O experimento foi realizado na Unidade de Execução de Pesquisa de Parnaíba, pertencente a Embrapa Meio-Norte, para avaliar os efeitos de três níveis de nitrogênio (150, 300 e 450 kg de N.ha-1) e cinco idades de corte (28, 35, 42, 56 e 84 dias) sobre a produção de matéria seca do capim elefante, cultivar Pioneiro. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados, parcelas subdivididas, com quatro repetições. O aumento da idade de corte e dos níveis de nitrogênio resultou em maiores rendimentos de forragem do capim-elefante cv. Pioneiro. A eficiência do nitrogênio aplicado, independentemente das idades de corte, foi inversamente proporcional às doses aplicadas.

Effect of the nitrogen and of the court age in the production of dry matter of the elephant grass cultivate pioneer in the Piauí

abstract: The experiment was carried in the Unit Execution of Research of Parnaíba, belonging Embrapa Meio-Norte, to evaluate the effects of three levels of nitrogen (150, 300 and 450 kg de N.ha-1) and five cutting ages (28, 35, 42, 56 and 84 days) upon the dry mistter production of dry matter of the elephant grass, to cultivate Pioneer. The experimental design was in blocks randomized, with the treatments obtained in the outline of subdivided portions and 4 repetitions. The increase of the court age and of the levels of nitrogen it resulted in larger production of forage of the elephant grass cv. Pioneer. The efficiency of the applied nitrogen, independently of the court ages, it went inversely proportional to the applied doses.
