Resumo: Devido às conseqüências negativas a saúde dos bovinos, causadas pela toxicidade da planta Pteridium aquilinum, L. Kuhn e a sua rápida disseminação nas pastagens paranaenses, os autores consideraram pertinente descrever os aspectos litigiosos da intoxicação pela samambaia, com a conseqüente manifestação clinica, de episódios em duas diferentes propriedades agropecuárias no estado do Paraná, bem como medidas para limitar o aparecimento da planta em pastagens.

Litigious aspct caused by bracken fern (Pteridium aquilinum) in pastures in the state of Paraná, and this consequences in the agrobusiness

Abstract: In reason of the negative effect of toxic plant on the cattle healthy, and this fast dissemination in consequence of a favorable ambient and climatic conditions in the paranaenses pastures, the authors had considered pertinent to describe the litigious aspects of the poisoning for the bracken fern, with the consequent clinical manifestation, in two episodes on different farms in the state of Paraná, as well an actions to limit appearance of the plant in pastures.
