Resumo: Foi conduzido um experimento com o objetivo de avaliar o desempenho e a viabilidade econômica de frangos de corte alimentados com rações à base de sorgo e farelo de soja com utilização de subprodutos de abatedouros avícolas. Os tratamentos consistiram em cinco rações isonutritivas com inclusão de 0%; 4,5%; 9%; 13,5% e 18% de Farinha de vísceras, o óleo de abatedouro avícola substituiu o óleo de soja em todas as rações. Utilizou-se o delineamento em blocos casualizados, sendo o parâmetro para blocagem o peso inicial dos pintos. Não houve diferenças significativas para as características de consumo médio de ração (CMR), ganho de peso (GP) e conversão alimentar (CA) durante as fases experimentais. Quanto à viabilidade econômica estimada através do índice de eficiência econômica houve melhoria significativa à medida que se elevou os níveis de inclusão da farinha de vísceras. A Farinha de Vísceras pode ser incluída em rações para aves até o nível de 18% sem interferir no desempenho zootécnico, além de reduzir o custo da ração.

Performance and economic viability of chickens fed with rations based in sorgum and soybean meal with use of poultry slaughter by-products

abstract: An experiment was conduced with the objective to evaluating the acting and the economic viability of chickens fed with rations based in sorgum and soybean meal with use of poultry slaughter by-products. The treatments consisted of five rations iso-nutritious with inclusion of 0%; 4,5%; 9%; 13,5% and 18% of poultry vicus meal, poultry slaughter oil substituted the soybean oil in all the rations. The experimental design was randomized blocks, being the parameter for blocks the initial weight of the chickens. There were not significant differences for the characteristics of medium ration intake (MRI), weight gain (WG) and feed conversion (FC) during the experimental phases. With relationship to the economic viability esteemed through the index of economic efficiency there was significant improvement as it elevated the levels of inclusion of poultry vicus meal. It can be included in rations for poultry until the level of 18% without interfering performance, besides reducing the cost of the ration.
