Resumo: Foi realizado um experimento com o objetivo de avaliar a torta de girassol na alimentação de frangos de corte. Foram utilizados 480 pintos de corte com 14 dias de idade, distribuídos em um delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado com cinco tratamentos e oito repetições (metade de cada sexo) de 12 aves por unidade experimental. Os tratamentos consistiram de dietas experimentais, à base de milho e farelo de soja, com diferentes níveis de inclusão de torta de girassol: 0%, 3%, 6%, 9% e 12%. Foram avaliados ganho médio de peso, consumo médio de ração e conversão alimentar nos períodos de 14 a 35, 36 a 42 e 14 a 42 dias. Aos 42 dias foram abatidas duas aves por repetição para avaliar o peso corporal ao abate, peso, rendimento e algumas características da carcaça. Observou-se piora no ganho de peso e na conversão alimentar para os níveis crescentes da torta nas rações. O peso e o rendimento de carcaça, o peso de peito, o peso de carnes nobres, o peso e o rendimento da moela e o peso e o rendimento da gordura abdominal foram também afetados linearmente, de forma negativa, pelos níveis de inclusão da torta de girassol.

High oil-sunflower meal in broiler diets

Abstract: The experiment was conducted with the objective to evaluate the inclusion of high oil sunflower meal to broilers feeding. They were used 480 broiler chicks with 14 days of age, distributed in a randomized design, with five treatments, eight replicates and 12 birds by experimental unit. The treatments were based on experimental diets, formulated with corn and soybean meal ingredients, with different inclusion levels of high oil sunflower meal: 0%, 3%, 6%, 9% and 12%. It was evaluated the weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion rate during the following periods: 14 to 35, 36 to 42 and 14 to 42 days. At 42 days, two broilers by repetition were slaughtered to evaluate the weight at the slaughter, weight and yield of some characteristics of carcass. Was observed a weight gain and feed conversion poorer according to increased the levels of high oil sunflower meal in the rations. The weight and yield of carcass, the breast weight, the weight prime meat, the gizzard weight and yield, the abdominal fat weight and yield were affected linearly of negatively according the inclusion of high oil sunflower meal.
