Resumo: A pesquisa foi realizada no setor de avicultura da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE) em julho de 2005, e objetivou avaliar o valor nutricional do feno de alfafa como alimento alternativo para frangos de corte, através da composição química e digestibilidade de seus nutrientes. Foi utilizada uma ração referência e outra ração teste contendo 30% do feno de alfafa. Utilizou-se 60 pintos da linhagem Coob com idade de 21 dias alojados em gaiolas metabólicas durante um período de oito dias, sendo 4 de adaptação e 4 de coleta de excretas. Determinou-se a composição química do feno da alfafa, bem como o coeficiente de digestibilidade aparente dos nutrientes da ração referência e da ração teste e o coeficiente de digestibilidade aparente dos nutrientes e teores de nutrientes digestíveis do feno de alfafa. Os resultados obtidos de composição química revelaram-se altos, bem como não houve diferenças significativas com relação aos coeficientes de digestibilidade da MS, FB, e EE observados entre a ração referência e a ração teste, havendo para a PB, um maior valor para a ração teste. Os Coeficientes de digestibilidade aparente encontrado para o feno de alfafa em frangos de corte, bem como os nutrientes digestíveis, foram considerados altos. Pode-se concluir que o feno de alfafa apresentou alto valor nutritivo para frangos de corte na fase de 21 a 32 dias.

Nutritional value of the hay of alpha about to chickens

Abstract: The search was realized into the sector of aviculture from University Federal Rural of Pernambuco on July of 2005, & objective access the worth nutritional of the hay of alpha I eat I feed alternation about to chickens of cut , via the composition chemistry & digestibility of yours nutrients.
