Resumo: Objetivou-se neste trabalho avaliar a digestibilidade de dietas com dois níveis de concentrado, contendo milho ou farelo de gérmen de milho, comparando a metodologia das fibras indigestíveis (FDNi e FDAi – 144 h). Utilizaram-se 20 novilhas Nelore confinadas para colheita de amostras de fezes e alimentos. Não foram observadas diferenças entre indicadores nas estimativas da digestibilidade da matéria seca e dos nutrientes com exceção da digestibilidade da FDN e FDA. A substituição total do milho pelo farelo de gérmen de milho pode ser feita sem prejudicar a digestibilidade.

Digestion Estimated by Indigestible Fibers for Feedlot Nelore Heifers fed with High Concentrate Diets containing Corn or Corn Germ Meal

abstract: The aim of this work was to evaluate the digestibility of diets with two concentrated levels, containing corn or corn germ meal using the indigestible fibers methodology (iNDF and iADF – 144h). It was used 20 Nelore feedlot heifers to take the samples of feces and feed. There was no difference between the markers in the digestibility estimative of dry matter and the nutrients except for the digestibility of NDF and ADF. The total substitution of corn by the corn germ meal cam be done without reducing the digestibility.
