Resumo: O objetivo do trabalho foi determinar a atividade de fosfolipase A2 (FLA2) no sêmen caprino e se há variação desta atividade entre as diferentes épocas e meses do ano, em caprinos criados intensivamente em clima tropical. Os ejaculados foram coletados semanalmente por meio de vagina artificial. As amostras semanais de cada animal constituíram um “pool” totalizando 198 observações. Procedeu-se a um estudo de análise de variância para avaliação dos efeitos de época do ano e mês sobre a atividade da fosfolipase A2. Ao serem detectados efeitos significativos pelo teste F, as médias foram comparadas pelo teste de Duncan a 5%. Os resultados encontrados demonstraram que a atividade da FLA2 foi afetada pela época e pelo mês do ano. A FLA2 apresentou maior atividade na época de transição S/C, e a menor foi encontrada na época seca. Concluiu-se que a FLA2 presente no PS caprino em condições tropicais apresentou variação na atividade quanto à época, mês do ano e indivíduo, todavia, apresentou uma baixa atividade.

Determination of the phospholipase A2 activity on the goat semen collected in different season of the year in tropical climate

abstract: The study aimed to determine phospholipase A2 activity (PLA2) on the goat semen and if there is variation this activity between different seasons and month of the year in goats created intensively in tropical climate. The ejaculated were collections weekend through artificial vagina. The seminal samples of each animal formed a pool totaling 198 observations. There was study of ANOVA for to evaluate of the effects of season of the year and month on the PLA2 activity. When was found significant effects by F test, the means were compared by Duncan test at 5%. The results found demonstrated what the activity of the PLA2 was affected by season and by month of the year. The PLA2 showed greater activity during the transition season, and the lowest was found in the dry season. In conclusion, a PLA2 present in the seminal plasma of goat created in tropical conditions showed activity when the season year, month of year e individual, nevertheless, showed low activity.
