Resumo: Objetivou-se avaliar os componentes extra carcaça de 24 cordeiros mestiços Highlander, terminados em confinamento, com dietas isoenergeticas (73% de NDT), e diferentes teores protéicos (12%, 15%, 18% e 21%). Os animais entraram no experimento com 20 kg e a medida com que atingiram o peso médio de 30 kg, foram destinados ao abate para a avaliação do sangue, pele, trato gastrintestinal cheio e vazio, aparelho reprodutor mais bexiga vazia, baço, fígado, coração, aparelho respiratório, rins com gordura perirrenal, cabeça e patas. Somente os pesos e rendimentos do aparelho reprodutor com bexiga vazia e fígado foram influenciados (P<0,05) pelos níveis protéicos, apresentando ambos, um comportamento linear positivo. Os pesos e rendimentos das outras variáveis não apresentaram efeito significativo (P>0,05), sendo os valores médios: 1,17 kg e 3,89% (sangue); 5,00 kg e 16,84% (caídos); 2,52 kg e 8,53% (trato gastrintestinal vazio); 0,54 kg e 1,78% (aparelho respiratório); 0,04 kg e 0,12% (baço); 0,14 kg e 0,47% (coração); 0,23 kg e 0,76% (rins com gordura perirrenal). Conclui-se que com o aumento do nível protéico aumentaram os pesos do aparelho reprodutor com bexiga vazia e do fígado.

Weights and percentages of extra carcass components of Highlander Crossbred lambs fed up with diets containing different protein contents

abstract: Aimed to evaluate the extra carcass components of 24 Highlander crossbred lambs, finished in feedlot, receiving isoenergetic (73% of TDN), and different protein contents (12%, 15%, 18% and 21%). The animals begun in the experiment with 20 kg of body weight and the measure with that it reached 30 kg of average weight, It were destined at slaughter to evaluation of blood, skin, full and empty gastrointestinal tract, reproductive device with bladder, spleen, liver, heart, respiratory device, kidneys with perirenal fat, head and legs. Just the weights and incomes of the reproductive device with bladder and liver were influenced (P<0.05) by the protein levels, being that both showed a positive linear behavior. The averages for the other variables that didn’t showed significant effect (P>0.05) were: weights and incomes of 1.17 kg and 3.89% (blood); 5.00 kg and 16.84% (fallen); 2.52 kg and 8.53% (empty gastrointestinal tract); 0.54 kg and 1.78% (respiratory device); 0.04 kg and 0.12% (spleen); 0.14 kg and 0.47 (heart); 0.23 kg and 0.76% (kidneys with perirenal fat). It was possible to conclude that with the increase of protein level, increased the weights of the reproductive device with bladder and the liver.
