Resumo: O ambiente a que são submetidos os suínos, sob diversos aspectos, constitui um dos principais responsáveis pelo sucesso ou fracasso do empreendimento suinícola. Cada instalação deve ser projetada para atender às necessidades de cada fase do ciclo produtivo e reprodutivo dos suínos. Os Sistemas Especialistas são sistemas que se propõem a resolver problemas conforme especialistas humanos, através da incorporação de uma base de conhecimento. O objetivo do presente trabalho é levar ao conhecimento de criadores, técnicos e estudantes, informações que possam subsidiar a definição e projeção de edificações para as diversas fases de suínos em diferentes níveis tecnológicos de produção. A base de conhecimento é composta por equações de dimensionamento das diversas instalações de uma suinocultura. Como saída, o sistema especialista determina a quantidade de baias necessárias para a instalação escolhida assim como a sua dimensão baseada em padrões de conforto e bem-estar animal. O sistema especialista apresentou um nível de acerto compatível dentro dos padrões desejáveis para este propósito. Specialist system for calculate of swine building

abstract: The environment that the swine are submitted, under several aspects, it is responsible for the success or failure of the enterprise. Each installation should be projected to assist to the needs of each phase of the productive and reproductive cycle of the swine. The Specialist Systems are systems that intend to solve problems according to human specialists, through the incorporation of a knowledge base. The objective of the present work is to take to the creator’s knowledge, and students, information that can subsidize the definition and projection of constructions for the several phases of swine in different technological levels of production. The knowledge base is composed by equations of calculate of the several facilities of swine. As result, the specialist system determines the amount of necessary pen for the chosen installation as well dimension based in comfort patterns and animal welfare. The specialist system presented a level of compatible success inside of the desirable patterns for this purpose.
