Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar as medidas morfométricas de novilhas ½ Guzerá x ¼ Simental x ¼ Nelore e ½ Guzerá x ¼ Limousin x ¼ Nelore, terminadas em confinamento, divididas em dois grupos de 8 animais e abatidas com pesos médios de 424,63 kg em um período de confinamento de 90 dias. Os animais apresentaram na média, no início do confinamento, 325,75 kg e maturidade fisiológica de dois dentes. A dieta alimentar com relação volumoso:concentrado de 67:33 continha 12,5% de proteína bruta e 73,5% de nutrientes digestíveis totais (NDT). O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o inteiramente casualizado com dois tratamentos (GG1 - ½ Guzerá x ¼ Simental x ¼ Nelore; GG2 - ½ Guzerá x ¼ Limousin x ¼ Nelore) e 8 repetições por tratamento. Não houve diferença significativa (P>0,05) para as medidas corporais dos animais avaliados. O fator grupo genético não exerce influência nas medidas morfométricas de novilhas ½ Guzerá x ¼ Simental x ¼ Nelore e ½ Guzerá x ¼ Limousin x ¼ Nelore terminadas em confinamento.

Morphometric measures of ½ Guzerá x ¼ Simmental x ¼ Nellore and ½ Guzerá x ¼ Limousin x ¼ Nellore heifers finished in feedlot

Abstract: The objective of this work was to evaluate the morphometric measures of ½ Guzerá x ¼ Simental x ¼ Nelore and ½ Guzerá x ¼ Limousin x ¼ Nelore heifers, finished in feedlot, divided in two groups of 8 animals and slaughtered with average weights of 424,63 kg in a feedlot period of 90 days. The animals presented, at the feedlot beginning, average of 325,75 kg and physiological maturity of two teeth. The diet with roughage:concentrate ratio of 67:33 contained 12,5% of crude protein and 73,5% of total digestible nutrients. The experimental design was the completely randomized with two treatments (SM - ½ Guzerá x ¼ Simmental x ¼ Nellore; LM - ½ Guzerá x ¼ Limousin x ¼ Nellore) and 8 repetitions per treatment. There was no significant difference (P>0,05) to the corporal measures from evaluated animals. The genetic group factor does not exercise influence on the morphometric measures of ½ Guzerá x ¼ Simental x ¼ Nelore and ½ Guzerá x ¼ Limousin x ¼ Nelore heifers finished in feedlot.
