Resumo: O trabalho foi conduzido no Laboratório de Micologia do Departamento de Microbiologia e Imunologia do Instituto de Medicina Veterinária da UFRRJ. Foram analisados materiais de 347 animais, sendo os de cães e gatos a maioria. Os materiais foram submetidos a rotinas laboratoriais necessárias ao isolamento e identificação dos fungos. O objetivo do presente trabalho é a identificação dos principais gêneros fúngicos causadores de lesões cutâneas dentre os animais domésticos analisados. Pode-se observar uma grande quantidade de gêneros e espécies isoladas, em especial fungos dermatófitos e, dos fungos unicelulares Sporothrix schenckii e Malassezia pachydermatis. Os animais mais suscetíveis a infecções fúngicas, foram os que se encontravam em condições de nutrição e manejo inadequados mas, observando-se também as lesões menos intensas em animais clinicamente saudáveis.

Isolated fungi of characteristic lesions of mycosis in animals

Abstract: The work was driven in the Laboratory of Micologia of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of UFRRJ. Materials of 347 animals were analyzed, being the dogs and cats most. The materials were submitted to routines necessary laboratoriais to the isolation and identification of the fungi. The objective of the present work is the identification of the main fungic causes of cutaneous lesions among the analyzed domestic animals. It can be observed a great amount of goods and isolated species, especially dermatophytes and, of the unicellular fungi Sporothrix schenckii and Malassezia pachydermatis. The most susceptible animals to fungic infections, were the ones that met in nutrition conditions and inadequate handling but, being also observed clinically the less intense lesions in animals healthy.
